The building complex for the Faculty of Law, Social Sciences and Economics at the University of Graz, one of the most renowned educational buildings in Austria, extends over a length

of 300 metres and establishes a striking architectural statement within the urban context. The building is based on an elongated, orthogonal grid into which round and curved spatial elements are inserted. The internal arrangement is determined by a continuous public space and open galleries. A striking feature is the objects inserted from the outside, which parasitically dock onto the building and penetrate it.
